Ya know, for kids christmas is a happy time.
For the parents, hopefully it is a happy time... but money related stress causes more problems than enough around this time of year.
Ive worked in retail for half a decade, and I hate Christmas... before starting my current job, I liked it. My job has killed any kinda "magic" you try to push onto kids at Christmas... it's all about money now!
I'm kinda buzzzzzzed

The worst thing about working in retail is the Christmas songs begin on the 1st of November. By the time Christmas comes you hate it because you've been listening to those songs non stop at work and then they are on tv, the radio, in the pub, it's like you can't escape from fucking work.

Yeah, I know the feeling, although Ive never worked in a store. Its just that its not even Decemeber and you can already buy some x-mas stuff, and theyre starting to advertise on the radio/tv. Thankfully its not as much as in capitalist west, you cant buy decorations and stuff untill about 5 or so December, or theres very little of them.
Gotta agree that after so long the spirit of x-mas seems to have faded, its not what it used to be. Now, going and drinking with friends just seems so much better than that awsome x-mas morning when you woke up and got a gift. Damnit.

Back around August time Tesco (major retail chain in the UK and Ireland) were selling Christmas decorations next to the BBQ stuff...

What? I wasn't talking about you and people like you when I said that people are taking all of the joy out of the holidays...I am talking about these commercialistic old assholes duking it out with other morons in the parking lot of target over the last tickle me elmo for their little brats. They make the holidays nauseating...if you are Christian, the holidays should be about Jesus not about trying to keep up with the Joneses. Everywhere you go it's a bunch of germy ass people on top of one another clogging the roadways and the aisles trying to be somethat that they're not.
