Barcoding

Barcoding is buying the expensive item for the price of the cheaper similar item.
Purchase the item thru self-checkout. Then, either keep the expensive item or return it, care of walmart's no-receipt return policy.

Choosing
1. Don't choose electronics with non-electronics, because self-checkout won't let you demagnitize your item, and you'll set off the door.
2. Keep the items fairly similar.
3. If you plan on returning it, keep it under $100, or else the return will need a manager's approval.
4. Keep the quantity down to two or so.

The Xyron sticker maker works good to stick the upcs, its in the arts & crafts section of walmart . buy the refill for it, not the whole thing.

Here's the combinations that have work for me, i used a razor blade for the upc's and the sticker maker. Notice how I keep the items fairly similar to each other.

Leap Frog's Fly Pen (99.99) & Leap Frog's Fly Pen Carrying Case(7.99)
Texas Instument's TI-89 Calculater(149.99) & Texas Instument's shitty model calc(9.99)
Euro Air Mattress(129.99) & Coleman Air Mattress(9.97)

The combinations are endless

Self Checkout
1. Self checkout is monitored by a clerk, they see the generic item code and price.
2. Busy is better! You don't want that clerk coming over wanting to help you.
3. The register weights items as you scan them, so choose to 'skip bagging' when it appears.
4. Any electronics will tell you to rub the item against the demagnitizer, be sure to do it, or else...

Returning
If you wanna return it, remember:
1. You can only return 3 no-receipt-items a year, they use your driver's license number to keep track of you. (If you're burnt on returns, go to the dmv and get a id replacement and ask for a new number.)
2. Remove the upc before you return it.
3. Try to keep it under $100, or else they'll need a manager's approval.
4. Don't be returning items three days in a row at the same store.
