I downloaded it a few days ago. The movie completely sucks. There's no depth to it, no background history on any of the characters or magic, and the main enemy is rarely seen. Actually, the huge battle in the end only took up five minutes of screen time. Most of the movie takes place in a forest, trying to get someplace. It's a huge waste of time.

I would agree that this movie blew balls and it didn't even feel good.
there was NO character development, and NO significant plot development, they rushed me through the whole goddamn movie hoping that the special effects would keep me in my seat until they set up the sequal. bastards. If i ever have to see that blond duesch smile again, there's a good chance i might hit someone.

It was not all of that I must admit. It was okay. The dragon was cool...she was my favoritie character. I've heard the books that the movie is based on is far better.

Every heard the phrase "time is money?"

Indeed, but like DD said, time is money.
That's okay, I didn't pay for it, just giving my honest opinion. I'm in the film industry, so viewing a lot of movies is what I do.

I didn't pay for it. I "movie hop" which means that I simply stay in the theatre after I've viewed the one I paid for. I just go from movie to movie. Once I took in 4 movies for the price of one in one day but I won't see that many in a row again as my ass was falling asleep. I'm an active person.
Anyhoo, to be reap the rewards of movie hopping, it is best if you go for a matinee or have a fake student id card so you'll pay a cheaper rate to get in. That way you get even more bang for your buck.:cool1:
You also must remember to plan your timings appropriately so you'll know what movie starts when and so you can see the whole movie. Check out your theatres webpage on the internet or check out the listings in the paper.

Thanks for the 101... Matinees are $7 here now, and big cities usually don't have a student discount.

matinees are 6.50 at certain theatres in my area and even though we are a fairly large city, we do have student discounts. But anyhow movie hopping is a great pastime.

You might also want to look into what are called second run theaters, which may not show the very latest flicks, but they make up for it with very low prices and very little attendance (for instance, I saw Saw III at a nearby dollar theater for $1.50 last night, and sure it's out on DVD, but it's great fun watching it on the big screen alone :p).
I remember in the early 80s we used to go to a fairly sketchy place and watch scratchy copies of fairly new movies on a regular tv (these were what I now take to be bootleg screener copies which are common as sin today, but it was pretty nifty at the time). There are also some places (not quite 'theaters') which show certain, erm 'niche', films. For instance there used to be a certain basement in downtown San Diego that showed faux snuff movies for as long as you could stand sitting there and watching them...
At any rate, I could write up a short compendium of other methods to get into standard theaters for free/on the cheap when I have a bit of time...
