lately I have seen alot of coke bottles that are available in a certain border area. Meaning if they want to know how to stop heavy steel armor clad vehichles or sabotage an oil pipeline it's going to be easy with these intructions; but first here's what you'll need: A glass cokebottle 6.5 ounces in size; about one pound of either castable or plastic explosive; a blasting cap;a metal cylinder about six inches long and twi inches inner diameter;plug to fit mouth of coke bottle ;non-metal rod about 1/4 inch in diameter and 8 inches long;tape or string. 1st. step is to take the plug and plug the bottle with it. 2nd. step is to place cylinder over top of bottle until bottom of cylinder rests on widest part of bottle then tape cylinder on top of bottle. 3rd. step :if plastic explosive is used tamp with rod until cylinder is full. 4th step is to place rod about 1/2 of an inch into the middle top of the explosive charge to form a hole for the blasting cap.

so what's the standoff distance for said charge, is the bottom of the bottle up to where the tube starts suppose to give proper stand off distance if the bottom of the bottle is placed against the target? how deeply will it penetrate metal? what size hole will be produced? any particular VOD range that is best suited for this particular charge? where would you put a shaped charge of this size on a large armor clad vehicle to stop it? would a charge of this size really sabotage an oil line? do you have any experience with a charge of this type? what book did this come out of?

If you're going to do this just make a classic fucking pipe bomb. Make about 2-3 grams of AP for a cap, and as much RDX/ETN as you can.

For the charge:
Put a cap with no holes etc in one side of the copper pipe.
Melt the ETN/RDX with your preferred casting method, get it nice and dense for a high VOD.
Put a hole through the center of it with whatever you fucking want to.

For the Cap:
Once the ETN/RDX is dry fill that hole up with AP.
Now take the cap for the other side of the pipe and drill a hole in it 1/16 of an inch larger then your fuse (DO NOT DO THIS WHEN IT'S ON THE PIPE IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE).
Insert fuse into AP, cap it, tape it, wtfever, you're good to go.

This will ACTUALLY be able to take on armor, it will blow a hole in steel, etc, due to it's very high VOD and brisance.

Maybe they're different 'round your parts, but I flat-out refuse to believe that they have enough of a curve in their bottom to function as a shaped charge.

From what I gather he's trying to say, the coke bottle is the projectile. The cylinder full of explosives shoots the glass coke bottle at the tank. Good luck taking down a tank with a glass projectile.

firextol the explosion could make the pieces of glass so small that it wouldnt do anything. it would look like dust. metal will always be a more damaging shrapnel.

FFS, don't talk about shit if you don't know anything about it. Glass can make a very effective shaped charge; though admittedly nowhere near as effective as a decent copper liner. The point is expediency through resources available to you, not many people (especially in the time of an invasion/occupation crisis or survival situation) will have access to machine tools, and comples equipment for forming sheet copper into perfect cones. So we make do; by identifying substitutes while we still have the luxury to do so: Wine/Champagne bottles, raid cans, bullet jackets.

The point was that glass DOES work as a shaped charge
; but not as effectively as some other substances. But glass is far mroe available, pre-cast and shaped.
