Last year I was a survival nut, I wanted to learn as much as I could about surviving in any situation. I own the book "The SAS Survival Handbook" by John "Lofty" Wiseman. Post any other good survival books here

Oh gods hehehe, You should see my bookshelf =D. Heres a few of the ones Ive found to useful.

"Best of Backwoodsman"
"Great Livin in Grubby Times" <-by far my fave, coveres everything from movement, to building a permenant shelter
"Ditch Medicine"
"Combat & Survival-What it takes to fight and Win series (covers both stone age survival and old warsaw pact weapons identifcation)"
"Fugitive and Advanced Fugitive-What it takes to run hide and survive"
"Contigency Cannibalism" <(hehehehe I keep that somewhere where guests can see it when they visit ^_^)
and of course the old US FM 21-76 which is available here
http://www.equipped.com/fm21-76.htm

Most of the others can be purchased from Paladin or off of used book dealers (At least in my area its common to find Paladin/Delta Press/Desert Press bookies used, dunno if its like that everywhere)

"The SAS Survival Handbook" by John "Lofty" Wiseman.

Yeah, I possess that one. I picked it up for a measly ?4.99 ($10.95). It?s very thorough and the tutorials are pretty straightforward to follow. I suggest everyone to add it to there collection.

How to survive in the wild, in any climare, on land or at sea.

John ?Lofty? Wiseman served in the SAS for 26 years and now passes on his expert knowledge of survival skills.

Practical easy to-follow advice with diagrams and colour illustrations.

For campers, hikers, sailors and those interested in outdoor pursuits.

P.S It's a handy pocket size too.

Haven't purchased the book as yet but eventually I want to build a house and remote shelter with this method:

Saw that guy on the telly I think on this guys program on survivalist (he is the one who does the weird and wacky live or something) Well the house were brilliant and since seeing it I have aspired to make such a home. Also the survivalists were neither wild nor wacky I think they had the right idea :)

He is probably referring to the hardback version. I have not seen it but I do think the information in it is of a high quality, Granted not trustworthy but of a higher quality.
