I'm wondering what your favorite freeware games are? My favorite which I play more then the ones I actually buy is Tremulous (http://www.tremulous.net). I highly suggest downloading that because it's fucking awesome. Anyways on with the discussion.

Furcadia. A text based MMORPG, with graphics as well. Really a lot of fun if youre at all into writing.

Freeware is the fucking shit. Let me check my pile.

1. Jetpak - the shiznat altogether. 2d screens where you jetpak around dodging monsters collecting gems. With a level editor, which is unreal. I've made some utter masterpieces.

2. The Commander Keen Series - Some are better then others and I don't remember which are which, but these were some nostalgic shit when I found them. Cmdr. Keen was the first game I ever cleared. Good times *tears up*.

3. Castle Wolfenstein - If you don't know you don't deserve to play it.

4. Maybe not my 4th favourites, but on the theme of nostalgia - Prince of Persia, Spiderman and SimAnt.

5. H@k@t@k - A kind of..... hacker(?) thing? I dunno. It's good though.

6. Soldat - for blitzkreig 2d shooter. Multiplayer too.

Well, when you use bittorrent then all your games are free aren't they? Well, in that case, Rome: Total War rocks!

Here you go mate... http://www.demonoid.com/faq.php

Demonoid is one of the best torrent sites on the 'net. This FAQ doesn't just cover Demonoid but also bittorrent in general.

Being a member of Demonoid has it's advantages, and you very rarely find bad torrents there. I reported new torrent for being a corrupt rar and literally within 4 minutes it was gone.

Well after a shit night at work I decided to just hit the sack instead of go online. So tonight I'll check out the Demonoid FAQ, maybe give TorrentSpy and Demonoid a shot.

cave story. just google cave story, i'm too lazy to. it's a 2D side-scrolling shooting action adventure awesome game. fucking amazing, really difficult, fairly expansive (i.e. good for multiple playthroughs) and remarkably long for a freeware game.

Enabling encryption can severely slow down your transfer speed. Just use a blacklist of IP's.

There are a lot of nice online games too. I have the links, but they're buried within the 1600+ I have.

Ariamaa is another cool game based off Chess.

Of course, there's always Sudoku and crosswords that can be played online or downloaded.

The best game period is Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory. I'd pay for that if i had to, and I'd choose to play that over any other game out there. I have some great memories with that game.

Hopefully next April I'll have my dedicated Wolfenstein Server up and running with Jaymod and the Minas Tirith Maps!

Frets On Fire and Trackmania Nations.

Frets, for those who haven't been informed, is a Guitar Hero PC clone.

Suprisingly free.

Trackmania is just good for the graphics, and the fact that it's free.

Definitely let me know when its up. I'd love to play there. Back in the day I was considered what you gamers call "elite".

Ever play on any XP Save Servers?

If so what was your highest score?

I pulled a huge 22,500 XP saved on the Redneck Warrior Server over the course of two weeks, right before it crashed.

I rolled over my 100,000xp limit on the nWo server twice. I was one of the best snipes on there all the time. Me and nWo tigger would literally have all of the kills.

When I first started playing, I just played regular levels, I'd go into huge servers and get good that way, just in battle. I was really good then...After that I got really unbelievably good at sniping, i used to use the crouch and peak method, so I'd find you, headshot you and disappear, before anybody ever saw me, and even if you saw me you'd still be fucked.

Yeah FoF!
I forgot to mention that.
You can also download the Guitar Hero or Rock Band mod for it.

I'll check out Trackmania.
